Carpenter Helper / Apprentice

Hudson Point Carpentry is looking for motivated Carpenter Helpers to join our commercial construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside skilled carpenters on office interiors, tenant fit-outs, renovations, and ground-up projects throughout New York City. We're looking for hardworking individuals who are eager to learn the trade and grow their careers. Responsibilities - Assist carpenters with framing, layout, and general carpentry tasks - Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and deliveries - Measure, cut, and prepare materials under supervision - Install blocking, backing, and temporary protection as directed - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area - Follow direction from carpenters and field supervisors - Work alongside other trades to support project progress - Follow OSHA and jobsite safety requirements - Perform other duties as assigned Requirements - 0-2 years of construction experience preferred - OSHA 30 and/or SST Card preferred - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders - Reliable transportation to NYC jobsites - Strong work ethic and willingness to learn - Experience using basic hand tools is a plus
